Journalist faces 6 years in jail for photographing military equipment. Trial scheduled for July 13

Baranavichy journalist Yury Hantsarevich is accused of “facilitating extremist activities” (Art. 361–4 of the Criminal Code).
BAJ was informed that the case will be considered by the Brest Regional Court on 13 July.
Since leading Belarusian independent media had been recognized as “extremist formations,” the journalist is now accused of assisting such “formations.” Zerkalo is an exception so far.
