Journalist Igor Karney sentenced to another ten months in prison
On December 13, the Shklou District Court found journalist and political prisoner Ihar Karnei guilty of persistent disobedience to the demands of the prison administration. Judge Aliaksandr Tarakanau sentenced the journalist to an additional 10 months in prison.

Ihar Karnei faces another year in prison, endures prolonged isolation in correctional facility
Ihar Karnei, a journalist sentenced to three years in prison, is currently serving his sentence at Correctional Facility No. 17 in Shklou. He is held in the Secure Housing Unit most of the time. Karnei’s new trial is scheduled for December 11. He is accused of persistent disobedience to the demands of the prison administration.

On the morning of December 10, the judge of the Minsk City Court, Vera Halaukova, sentenced journalist Volha Radzivonava to four years of imprisonment. The defendant was charged with four articles of criminal defamation.

The criminal case hearing started in the Minsk City Court on November 16. Volha Radzivonava is charged with four counts of criminal defamation. She faces up to six years of freedom restriction or imprisonment. Judge Vera Halaukova presides over the trial.
